I Rice to the Challenge
I had to start the year with a play on words. The rice was amazing. My brother asked my mother if she had made it, which is the biggest compliment I could receive. Since like all children, I believe no one cooks like my mom.
My brother, a larger than life individual, the closest thing to a real life super hero I know, made our New Year celebration a happy and entertaining one.
He said he was going to grill and despite the weather cold and wet. Grill he did. The food was delicious! I’m sure I gained a few pounds but it was completely worth it.
We all know that one person who is the life of the party, who’s star shines brightest and just being around them makes us a whole lot better. That ladies and gents, is my brother. Despite the challenges he may face, he is happy confident and out going. He is the person I always strive to be.
I cannot put last night into words that will do it justice, just to say, that my brother and his family were in big part responsible for the party of the year. There was no glitz or glamour but there was good will, family, and togetherness. At the end of the day those things are what matters.
Remember to always look on the bright side of life. Resolve to be happy, life is not easy, but it’s how we react to it that makes the difference.
